Grants

AMEF has a mandate to promote, deliver or participate in music education, workshops, camps, festivals and programs. AMEF fosters and develops among its members, and members of the public, a recognition of the importance of music education. This is accomplished through:

• providing music educators with opportunities and training for self-development, leadership and study at the annual Music Conference Alberta
• promoting, delivering or participating in musical performances
• cooperating with and making donations or contributions to CRA Qualified Donees involved in activities similar or complementary to the Objects of the Society

Grant Criteria:

• Applicant must be a CRA Qualified Donee
• All AMEF Sponsored events must be open to the public
• Organizations may submit Grant Applications once per year
• Priority will be given to organizations that exist in communities with limited resources for Music Education projects
• Grants will be awarded to a maximum of $1,500
• AMEF encourages all organizations seeking grant monies to have additional fundraising objectives to support their endeavours

We encourage all groups to apply for funding; however, we request that submission deadlines below be adhered to. All applications will be reviewed and considered by the Board of Directors. Applicants will be advised no later than 7 weeks after the deadline date. Please ensure events requiring funding are scheduled a minimum of 8 weeks after submission deadlines to allow for board review and determinations.

All decisions are at the discretion of the Board of Directors and are final. A project report on the work for which funding has been received is required to be submitted within 6 months of the receipt of the Grant.
