Strings for Kids

Project description and goals:

To provide music instruction in the area of strings (violin) free of charge to interested, at-risk or disadvantaged children who would otherwise not have the opportunity to study music in a private studio setting.

To enhance personal characteristics such as self-esteem, creativity, self-discipline and personal expression so that the students can become noble and caring citizens of their community and better overall students.

Students actively involved in music studies generally improve many areas of their life including concentration, memory and often subjects such as mathematics.

The program will also provide performance opportunities for the students.
